This photo looks more positive than negative to me. Because of the milder tone? Not sure.
I took this photograph some time back. At the new year's bonfire party to be exact. I chose high shutter speed to freeze the flame. I underexposed a lot too, to get more details in the midtones and to black out the timber and the background. To get the high flame, I asked a friend to pour some kerosene over the wood. No post processing done.
