Clones

My first attempt at clone photography. I know I could've planned it better and in a better setting. But I get no time during the day with my camera :( Will definitely try it again this weekend.
My best buddy Anuj is the model here. He dropped by my place last night when I was checking this(worth checking out!) And I HAD to have a version of my own.

The basic trick here is to take 5 different photographs with rest of the room and camera at the same place.

I set my camera on the tripod and do couple of test fires in manual mode to get the exposure right. You don't want the exposure to change in different photographs, hence the manual mode works best here. (Hint: Avoid fluorescent lights as much as you can. It's the ugliest light you can get for photography. I didn't have a choice, sigh!)
I have to choose the aperture now. I choose f/8 to get a high depth of field (so the subject may move anywhere in the room and still be in focus). I don't want the focus to change among shots, as that will make merging difficult. So I leave the lens on manual focus mode.

f/8 doesn't allow me faster shutter speeds(necessary for sharper pics, as my subject can move) and I don't wanna use flash here (shadows are difficult to tackle) So I have to compromise and choose ISO:1250 (bloody tube-light!) and a shutter of 1/15s (slow, but Anuj is seasoned by now :P)

5 shots later, I'm on photoshop with 5 images stacked one over the other. It takes 10 minutes of fine tuning to let appropriate portion of each layer show(I like layer masks as it gives me better control)
And voila!
